​On Saturday 29 May 2021, Cllr Nonceba Molwele, Speaker of Council, was invited among highly respected Faith Based, Community and Academic Leaders to be bestowed the highest honour for serving God’s people through the work that she does in the city and the country at large. 

As a former Member of Mayoral Committee (MMC) of Health and Social Development in one of the previous City of Joburg administration, her community activism was demonstrated through her thoughtful, dedicated leadership, which impacted positively to the faith-based community hence the recognition of her role.
 
"I am deeply humbled by the honour and the love shown to me today by the faith fraternity, I am priviledged to be counted amongst those who serve our people in faithfulness and in truth" said Cllr Nonceba Molwele.
 
Since taking office in December 2019, Speaker of Council has been criss-crossing the length and breath of the City of Joburg, being active on various programs of civic education and outreaches that continue to touch many lives in the communities.
 
City of Johannesburg congratulates the Speaker of Council, Cllr Nonceba Molwele for the Honorary recognition she received from the Immanuel Golgota Universities of Theology.  

​Also for her dedication, service, care giving and as a woman of in dominate spirit, always ready to steer the fortunes of the marginalized people of Johannesburg.
