Housing Department warns residents about another housing scam

The City of Johannesburg’s Housing Department’s name and that of former MMC of Housing Cllr Mlungisi Mabaso’s logo and picture is once again being used by unscrupulous individuals to con unsuspecting residents.

The Department has not issued any communication about housing allocations to be made on 10 December 2021 in Lufhereng.

The poster that is currently circulating on social media must be ignored. It has fake contact details including the person listed. Both the number and the person are not on the city’s official database.

We reiterate that any communication about housing matters will be via the official website with relevant contact details that can be verified.
