Following protests that resulted in the closure of the City of Johannesburg's licensing stations two weeks ago, nine are now fully operational.
The closure was as a result of protest action by various groups and members of the community after changes were made by the Gauteng Provincial Government to driver's licence and testing booking system, which blocks third parties from booking services on behalf of individuals or groups.
The City wishes to update residents of the following developments regarding the licensing centres:

- Eureka house (Fully functional)

| G | - Kliptown Licensing has been closed for some months due to a break-in at the premises (not functioning)
