​​​Rating of Properties used for Multiple Purposes​
​A property is regarded as being used for multiple purposes when it is utilized for more than one purpose, subject to the provisions of Section 9 of the Municipal Property Rates Act (MPRA).

Properties used for multiple purposes do not fall within the definition of a single category and therefore do not qualify to be rated under a single tariff.  In such cases, the Municipal Valuer will apportion the market value between different uses.  The tariff to be applied to multiple purposes will follow the split that will be allocated to a property.​
